I am honored when colleagues, partners, and community leaders ask me to write letters of support. I do not approach these letters casually. When I lend my name, it reflects deep alignment, intellectual integrity, and a genuine endorsement of your work.

Please provide the following in the space below:

  1. Name of the award, position, fellowship, or opportunity

  2. Deadline and submission instructions

  3. Word limit or formatting requirements

  4. The official selection criteria or rubric

  5. 2–4 specific examples of your work that you want highlighted
Be concrete. Outcomes, partnerships, impact, recognition, growth.

  6. How you understand your work to align with the opportunity’s purpose

  7. Any language, framing, or themes you would like emphasized

  8. Your current resume, CV, or bio

If the letter is meant to reflect a particular relationship between us, please briefly describe the nature and duration of that relationship.

I ask that requests be submitted at least three weeks in advance whenever possible. While I care deeply about supporting the people I believe in, I cannot guarantee letters for rushed or incomplete submissions.

When you submit this form, you are signaling that you want a letter that is thoughtful, precise, and worthy of your work.
